funciones.txtwhat you can do

What you can do with ACID.YOS

  • Step sequencer

Program drums on a 16-step grid per bar, with 1, 2, 4, or 8-bar loops, swing, probability, and ratchets per step.

  • 10 classic drum machines

Sounds from machines like the Roland TR-808, Roland CR-8000, LinnDrum LM-2, Casio RZ-1, or Casio SK-1, plus breaks ready to chop.

  • 71 instruments

Pianos, guitars, strings, basses, synths, vocals, and world sounds. Add up to 8 instrument tracks, each with its own notes, volume, and effects.

  • Piano roll and keyboard

Draw melodies and chords note by note, or play them using the on-screen keyboard, your computer keyboard, or a MIDI keyboard, and record what you play.

  • Patterns and Song

Four patterns (A–D) to vary the beat and a Song mode to chain them in order.

  • Mixer with effects

Volume, pan, mute, and solo per track; filters, saturation, compression, delay, and reverb per track, for the full drum kit, and on the master.

  • Sampler and custom audio

Import your own sounds or chop a break, and place audio on a timeline alongside the rest of the song.

  • Music with code

Code Lab to make music by writing code with Glicol, and Patch Lab, a little patch-cable modular synth.

  • Export to WAV and MIDI

Download your mix in WAV, notes in MIDI to continue in your music software, or the entire project to reopen another day.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. ACID.YOS is free and has no ads. You can use it without an account; a free account is only needed to save your projects to the cloud.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser, on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Sounds are loaded from the internet the first time you use them.

Can I use it on mobile?

Yes, the interface adapts to touchscreens. On iPhone, if you can't hear anything, turn off silent mode: Safari won't play web audio with the mute switch on.

Can I export my beat?

Yes. You can download the mix as WAV, notes as MIDI, or the entire project as a file. The WAV sounds exactly like what you hear in the studio.

Can I use it with a MIDI keyboard?

Yes, in Web MIDI-compatible browsers (like Chrome or Edge) the notes you play go to the selected track. You can also play with your computer keys.

What music styles can I make?

Anything based on loops and patterns: hip hop, house, techno, jungle, drum and bass, electro, or lo-fi. There are style packs that choose sounds and effects to get you started quickly.

Are my projects saved?

They are saved automatically in your browser. With a free account you can also save them to the cloud and open them on another device.
